Hi, I’m Kelsey (she/her)

My good friends call me Kels

As a former skeptic turned animal communicator and psychic, I know what it's like to have questions, doubts, and experiences you can't quite explain.

Drawing from my background in clinical mental healthcare, animal communication, Reiki, and tarot, I help curious humans explore intuition, connect more deeply with themselves and their animals, and make sense of the unseen world.

My Story

For most of my life, I was a skeptic.

As a kid, I was drawn to The Wild Thornberrys and Eliza Thornberry’s ability to understand animals. It felt both impossible and oddly familiar at the same time—like something I deeply wanted to be true, even though I was raised in a very logic-driven, skeptical environment. So I kept those “silly, imaginative” thoughts mostly to myself, while secretly hoping there was something magical about the world I hadn’t discovered yet. I couldn’t have predicted I’d become a professional psychic and animal communicator.

If Little Kels could see me now.

Somewhere along the way, what I used to dismiss as imagination started showing up as intuition, pattern recognition, and a way of relating to the world that didn’t quite fit the skeptical framework I grew up with, but made perfect sense to me. I stopped trying to explain it away and started learning how to work with it.

Like many of the people who find their way to me today, I was curious. I asked questions. I wanted to understand how things worked. While I've always been highly intuitive, I didn't have language for that at the time. I simply knew that when I listened to my gut, life seemed to flow more easily. When I ignored it, things felt immensely out of alignment.

It wasn't until my 30s that I intentionally began developing my psychic abilities and realized just how powerful my intuition truly was. Looking back, it had been guiding me my entire life—from major life decisions to the smallest everyday choices. I just didn't realize what I was experiencing.

As I explored psychic development, something unexpected happened: experiences I had once dismissed started making sense. Concepts that had seemed impossible became deeply personal. The more I learned, the more I found myself wanting to help others navigate that same journey.

Because I remember what it's like to be curious and unsure and wondering if I was making it all up. I remember wanting someone who could explain these experiences without asking me to abandon my logical mind.

Today, that's the role I strive to fill for others. At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: I help people make sense of experiences I've walked through myself.

Whether that's learning to trust your intuition, navigating a spiritual awakening, connecting with an animal companion, or exploring psychic experiences for the first time, I know how powerful it can be to have someone walk beside you and say, "I've been there too."

When I discovered animal communication, I experienced what I can only describe as a calling. It wasn't something I casually explored, it felt like something I was meant to do.

I had loved animals for as long as I could remember (and I had the pleasure of being raised during the era of Zoboomafoo, Steve Irwin, and FurReal Friends—IYKYK), but animal communication deepened that connection in ways I never expected. Every reading reminds me that animals are wise, loving, funny, and often far more perceptive than we give them credit for. I remain endlessly humbled by the opportunity to learn from them and share their messages with the people who love them.

In college, I trained as an ASL interpreter, and looking back, it's no surprise that animal communication felt so natural to me. In many ways, both roles are about translation.

I don't create the message, and I don’t speak for the animal.

I simply serve as the bridge between two beings who already know how to communicate, helping each side understand the other more clearly.

That role of translator has become a theme throughout my life.

Whether I am facilitating communication between people and their animals, helping someone understand a psychic experience they've had, or supporting a client through a major life transition, I love helping people connect the dots and make sense of what they're experiencing.

My background in clinical mental healthcare deeply shapes the way I approach this work. For five years, I supported individuals navigating eating disorder recovery through mentorship, peer support, and lived experience. One of the greatest lessons I learned during that time is that people heal, grow, and transform when they feel seen, understood, and less alone.

I bring that same philosophy into every reading, workshop, event, and conversation.

If you identify as a misfit, an outsider, a deep thinker, a highly sensitive person, or someone who has always felt a little different, you're especially welcome here. I've never quite fit neatly into the status quo either.

My goal isn't to convince you what to believe. It's to create a grounded, supportive space where curiosity is welcome, questions are encouraged, and you can explore your experiences without judgment.

And of course, I couldn't finish this introduction without mentioning my dog, Kya.

When I asked her how she wanted to be introduced on my website, she said, "Tell everyone I already love them." That pretty much sums her up.

Kya has been My Girl Friday since 2022, and we were absolutely meant to find each other. Like me, she's highly empathic, deeply social, a little chaotic, and full of heart. She continues to teach me how to trust myself, stay present, and not take life quite so seriously.

We're both so happy you're here.

Psychic & Tarot Readings

Channeled guidance to support you wherever you are in your journey.

I believe lived experience is one of the most powerful forms of support.

My path has been anything but linear. I've worked professionally in theatre, photography, mental healthcare, tarot, psychic development, and animal communication.

Across every role, one theme has remained constant: helping people navigate experiences I've walked through myself. Whether someone is moving through recovery, exploring their intuition, or making sense of a major life transition, I believe there's profound value in being supported by someone who genuinely understands the terrain.
